I have been photographing the east coast of America for over five decades. My Popa, (grandfather) gave me my first camera for a sixth-grade field trip to Lincoln Center by redeeming coupons he accumulated that were included in his packs of Chesterfield cigarettes.
After working in the advertising world of Madison Avenue, I returned to my original passions: street photography and portraiture. I shoot extemporaneously in fast succession, as I walk, drive, or sitting in the back of an Uber. When I am out there, I never know what will catch my eye. I try to capture beauty, whether in a flower, a stretch of sidewalk or a discarded item in the street.
